After reading the letter his parents sent him, Alan had decided to live his life on the road. Travelling on his journey with Lexi was one of the greatest times of his life. Now it was all he had left to go back to. Lexi looked worried and said "Throwing away your former life was a big risk.... Things won't get any easier you know. Still, I respect you for choosing your own path. That took a great amount of strength! I'm also glad you prefer to have me by your side." He smiled down at her and replied "Yeah, but you seem much more like family than my parents do now. Seriously, who tells their own son that he is never going to be welcome in their home again? And what about Lynn? How will she ever grow up to be a great girl when she is brought up around intolerance like that?! They'll turn my sweet little sister into someone filled with hatred for anyone who is different! I bet she misses me, but I can't go back, Not now and not ever!" Tears began to roll down his face as he pulled a torn picture out of his bag. He looked at the smiling girl's face on it and turned to his companion. "I don't know if you remember, but it was actually her that came up with your name Lexi.... You were a baby Shinx and she used to love brushing you and putting ribbons in your fur. In fact, the little black bow on your tail was her doing as well... She would never let me untie it because she thought everyone would think you were a boy unless you had a bow." They both laughed and then started looking for the Virbank City Pokemon Center.
As they walked through the dark streets on the cloudy night, they suddenly got the feeling that they were being watched. Turning a corner, they knew the person would follow them there as well. Once out of sight, they turned around, waiting for the person to fall for the trick. They could both see in the dark, but this person couldn't and she followed thinking she wouldn't be detected. Alan took off one of his gloves and thought about his parent's betrayal. Anger was what triggered the dormant element power he naturally had as a Pokesper. His hand sparking with electricity, he shoved it forward as the person tailing them turned the corner. Stunned and knocked off-balance, the girl fell to the ground. He slipped his glove back on and offered to help her up. The stun was only temporary and with an annoyed scowl she accepted his help.
Immediately the girl started yelling at him. "Aw, c'mon! Why'd you have to go and trick me like that?! Ugh, I'm gonna hear it from the boss for losing another target.... This is all YOUR fault! Why would you fool such a cute young lady such as myself anyway? Explain!" Rolling his eyes at her failed attempt at intimidation, Alan said "Look, I don't know who you are or who you work for, but Ido know that you were tailing us. And that is a problem. I doubt a......cute young lady such as yourself....would want anything to do with a Pokesper like me! I mean you no harm, but I at least want to know who you are and why you were after me. So first I'll introduce myself, and then you can do the same. We'll see where things go from there. I may not be your enemy, but for now I don't know if you should be or not. Anyway, I'm Alan and this is my partner Lexi the Luxray. I'm a Pokesper with the ability of Luxray Sight."
Seeming happy for some reason, the girl introduced herself. " I'm Dana, and I am also a Pokesper! But my partner is a Typhlosion named Johnny. He's around here somewhere, he's kinda anti-social and brooding. Anyway, my power is Quilava Speed. Not only am I fast, but I have great maneuverability too! Oh, and when I get excited-" Her back suddenly caught on fire while she was talking, but she didn't seem to notice. He finished her sentence for her to point it out. "....your back catches on fire? Yeah, we can see that. Your scarf is on fire now too." Dana just took out a waterbottle from her bag and dumped it down her back casually. The fire went out and she just said "I'm just glad it was only the one on my back! If it was the other one, it might be kinda embarrassing." Seeing his puzzled face, she turned around and pointed at a red spot on her upper back. Then she faced him again and continued. "The red spot ignites like a match whenever I get excited. It sets my scarf on fire, but that is why I even wear a scarf, bit looks really cool when you got a flaming red scarf billowing in the wind. And you're probably wondering where the other spot is..... Well it's in a kinda inconvenient place...." She blushed and pulled her shirt down a bit to show a red spot right where her cleavage started. " It always sets my shirt on fire, and I always wear my shirts backwards since it is usually the back one." She looked at the ground as alarge shadow loomed over her. Looking up, she saw her Typhlosion. He was bigger than most of his kind and easily picked Dana up. Johnny then placed her on his back and proceeded to stop walking upright.
He gave the other two a  low growl and walked away. They followed him to the edge of a forest where a campsite was set up. But no tents or sleeping bags were there. It was getting late and Dana had been chatting with Alan and Lexi the whole way back to her campsite. She eventually ended up falling asleep on Johnny's back and he just laid down near the fire. Now they understood why there was no tent or such. Feeling tired himself, Alan took out a sleeping bag and did the same as Johnny. Lexi then joined him and fell asleep too. The day was a great day overall. He was so glad to meet another Pokesper like Dana, but she still hadn't answered all of the questions....
