Upon arriving in Sootopolis, we immediately went to the pokemon center. While the others were getting healed up, Violet and Henry talked to each other. At least, it looked like they were.... But after they were done, Henry reached into my Bag and took out the Loppunite to give it to Violet. She seemed scared, but gave me a hug and pointed at my Mega Ring. I got the message.... She wanted to master her mega form liked Henry did. We waited for the rest of the team to be fully healed then left the pokemon center. We flew back on Duchess, now a beautiful Altaria. Duchess still had a naughty nature, but her attitude seemed to be better now that she evolved. Maybe she was just happy to look so much prettier now. The place we went was Lilycove. We tried to build Violet's confidence by entering her into a cute contest and a beauty contest. That girl was right about the dancing....she won 1st in both contests! And then I got an idea....
We went outside of Lilycove to a place with a lot of space and tall grass. She'd probably break the tombstones at Mt. Pyre and the Safari Zone was not meant for battles. She practiced her dance moves in battles against wild pokemon. I began to get what that girl meant about a different sort of dance training that helps in battle. It turns out that she had become a smarter fighter while in mega form as well.... She'd figured it out immediately back then. The victorious twirling, graceful dodges, and impressive gymnastics were all the result of her dancing abilities. So I tried to train her to use dancing in battle while she wasn't in mega form. She learned very quickly and her fluid motions gave way to so many new tactics! But now came the hard part.....
I made a phone call on my Pokenav to ask Brawly for help. He may be a surfer mostly, but he was also a talented fighter. He often sparred with his pokemon, so I hoped he could handle this. When we flew to Dewford to meet him on the beach the battle began. I mega evolved Violet and he sent out a Machamp. I kept trying to give her commands, but she once again ignored them completely. Machamp was actually holding up pretty well though. Being a fighter himself, Brawly was an expert at using Fighting-types. And then I said something that she seemed to listen to "Remember Violet, fighting is just a very refined form of dance." She seemed to be a bit less aggressive, but still kept on fighting. But now she used the dancing practically instead of just to show-off. And soon she actually defeated Machamp. I was so proud of her.....
But as I approached, she once again took a fighting stance and seemed poised to attack me at any second. She would be much too fast to dodge, but I knew the gentle Lopunny I know was still in there. I showed no fear as I continued to get closer to her. I understood what made her so aggressive now. It wasn't just the extra piwer or type change. This was her hidden potential, the side of her that always got buried by her gentle nature. This was just as much Violet as the one who loved to dance and had been with me through so much. Henry was approaching her slowly as well.
She seemed conflicted, but we kept going despite the high possibility that she'd attack out of pure instinct. She gave a yell as we reached her and fell to her knees. She was crying, but still in mega form. She looked up at us and seemed camer upon seeing us smile. Violet stood up and deactivated her mega form. She hugged us both, still crying, but crying tears of joy. She'd mastered it at last. She was no longer frightened by her darker side that just wanted to prove herself in battle. Duchess flew us back to Sootopolis to challenge the gym. Wallace, the gym leader, put up a difficult fight, but we pulled through thanks to Violet in mega form. The Rain Badge was our eighth one, so now came Victory Road and later the Elite Four. If we got past them we could challenge the current Champion and enter the Hall of Fame.
It was much clearer to see now why Violet and Henry talked to each other so much. Even as we were making our way through the maze-like Victory Road, the two seemed inseperable. They were in love. I had known them both long enough to know what they felt. I can't understand their conversations of course, but the love was apparent in their manner of speech. By the time we exitted the cave, they were all ready for the coming challenges! One by one, each Elite Four member fell to our skill and power through very hard-fought battles. And then we reached the Champion......Steven Stone!
Mega Violet was a huge help in the struggle against him! I was beginning to run out of healing items and both of us were down to our last pokemon. His Aggron mega evolved much to our surprise, and we tried everything to take it down, but nothing seemed to dent that huge tank of a pokemon...... We had just one trick left, but it was risky! We were out of options though. So I told her to use Bounce off of his head and spin in midair before finishing with a Hi-Jump-Kick as she spiraled downwards. The trick worked perfectly, but it wasn't enough to finish his Mega Aggron off. With one final Iron Tail to the side of her face, it was over........
However, Steven seemed to appreciate my effort and gave me one last chance. He completely healed both Violet and Aggron. Then he told me that this sudden death chance would be a battle between just Violet and Aggron, no Mega Stones, and no orders from the trainer..... Just their natural fighting abilities. Violet seemed scared, but she maintained her composure. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and attacked quickly with Drain Punch. The force actually knocked him back a bit, but by the time he recovered from the unexpected blow, she had already somersaulted over him and used another Drain Punch. This time he caught her arm and tossed her across the room. She stood up and used Attract. He fell for her trick, but it didn't last very long. Fortunately, she was able to use the combo from before before he snapped out of it. He was almost finished, but landed a powerful Iron Head, knocking Violet to the ground. She struggled to get up, but seemed to still have some fight in her. Aggron charged in for another Iron Head, but she expertly leapfrogged over him and delivered a Drain Punch right to the center of his back, slamming him into the wall only inches away from him. He fell to the ground with a loud thud and was defeated! Steven smiled as if he expected that Aggron would lose.
After having my team registered alongside me in the Hall of Fame, Steven ran up to me again with someone following him. It was the shady old guy from before. I thanked him for the helpful tip about the Loppunite. And he took off his hood to introduce himself. Apparently he was a very talented trainer who had defeated the Elite Four several times over the years, his name was Spencer. He said that he saw our sudden death battle and liked the idea of pokemon trained by people deciding how to battle for themselves. He handed me a card of some sort and said he'll wait for my challenge in a few years when the Frontier opens.......
I hope this was a good way to end it. Thanks for reading and comments are appreciated. :)

What a charming little story, I like it. I'm glad that I found your art, as it's very well done fanfiction.
